Trichilia hirta (Broomstick) is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Puerto Rico, Caatinga, Amazônia, and Mata Atlântica. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 38 feet.
