Centaurea diffusa (Diffuse Knapweed) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Yugoslavia, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Eastern Mediterranean, Armenia, Italy, Romania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Greece, and Syria. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Individuals can grow to 0.34 m.
