Sporobolus compositus (Composite Dropseed) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to United States, The Contiguous United States, North America, Eastern North America, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.91 m.
