Amblyraja hyperborea és una espècie de peix de la família dels raids i de l'ordre dels raïformes.[5]

Morfologia

Reproducció

És ovípar[6] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[8]

Alimentació

Menja animals bentònics.[9]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 140-2.500 m de fondària.[6][10]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Austràlia, el Canadà, Colòmbia, Costa Rica, l'Equador, les Illes Fèroe, Groenlàndia, Islàndia, Nova Zelanda, Noruega (incloent-hi Svalbard), Panamà, Rússia, Sud-àfrica i la Gran Bretanya.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30]

Costums

És bentònic.[31]
