Tridacna derasa (Southern Giant Clam) is a species of mussels in the family Cardiidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 60 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
