Massive subceroid or astreoid to meandroid corallum. Lower face without holotheca. Radial elements are compact, rather free, non confluent or subconfluent, straight to curved unequal in length. Distal edge with acute or rounded strong equal teeth, lateral faces with granules connected in opposite carinae perpendicular to the distal edge. Montlivaltid microstructure. No pali. Radial and bilateral symmetry (occasionally opposite septa joining the columella). Abundant vesiculose endotheca. Lamellar columella, polytrabecular in microstructure. No synapticule. Wall absent or incomplete.
