Symphyotrichum laeve (Smooth Blue Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, United States, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves, cyan flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Furry Leaf-cutter Bee, Aster Andrena, Honey bee, and Lasioglossum pectinatum. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
