Thalia geniculata (Bent Alligator Flag) is a species of perennial herb in the family Marantaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, Bahia, The Contiguous United States, Mato Grosso, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, RondôNia, Cerrado, Maranhao, Amazônia, Paraná, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Tocantins, Caatinga, Pará, Pampa, ParaíBa, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Minas Gerais, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Roraima, Amapá, Pantanal, Pernambuco, GoiáS, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Piauí. They have simple, broad leaves.
