Thalia geniculata (Bent Alligator Flag) is a species of perennial herb in the family Marantaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pará, Pampa, Mato Grosso, SãO Paulo, Piauí, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Roraima, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Sul, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, GoiáS, Caatinga, Bahia, Cerrado, Distrito Federal, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ceará, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Paraná, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Amapá, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Puerto Rico, Pantanal, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, and Acre (Brazil). They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by White-tailed Goldenthroat and Eulaema.
