Macrotis lagotis (Greater Bilby) is a species of mammals in the family rabbit-bandicoots. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to Australia. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 120 months and can grow to 375 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on saltation to move around.
