They are native to Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Eastern North America, Alaska, Greenland, Puerto Rico, Western North America, Hawaii, The Contiguous United States, Canada, and North America. They have drupe. Flowers are visited by Leafcutter bee, Megisto cymela, Bumble Bees, and White-Spotted Sable Moth. Individuals can grow to 3.4 m.
