Flowering buds on an Aegiceras corniculatum tree. It is noteworthy to see the widespread salt crystals (whitish in colour) on the leaves, especially on a windy day. The salt (mainly sodium chloride) was excreted onto the leaves as a result of biological desalination processes taking place in the leaf tissues.
