Scleria gaertneri (Cortadora Blanca) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Sergipe, Piauí, Tocantins, Pantanal, Pernambuco, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pampa, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Pará, Rio De Janeiro, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, Acre (Brazil), Bahia, Cerrado, Caatinga, Espirito Santo, Maranhao, Puerto Rico, Amapá, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Amazônia, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Norte, Minas Gerais, RondôNia, Roraima, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
