Myrcia amazonica (Guayabacon) is a species of shrub in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, Amapá, Bahia, Tocantins, Pará, SãO Paulo, Acre (Brazil), The Neotropics, Distrito Federal, Roraima, RondôNia, Maranhao, Paraná, AmazôNia, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso, Santa Catarina, Puerto Rico, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves.
