Chaenomeles japonica (Maule's Quince) is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Eastern Asia. They have simple, broad leaves and orange flowers. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee, Honey bee, and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 8 feet.
