Sporobolus pyramidalis (Catstail Dropseed) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amapá, Amazônia, Pará, SãO Paulo, Roraima, Cerrado, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Pampa, and Maranhao. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Aspergillus arenarius. Individuals can grow to 2.1 m.
