Cyperus haspan (Haspan Flatsedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pernambuco, Amazônia, Caatinga, Paraná, Acre (Brazil), Amapá, Roraima, Cerrado, Bahia, Puerto Rico, Pará, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, ParaíBa, Maranhao, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Rio De Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Sergipe, RondôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, Alagoas, Tocantins, Pampa, Rio Grande Do Norte, The Contiguous United States, Pantanal, Santa Catarina, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Piauí, and Espirito Santo. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.98 m.
