Spermacoce capitata (Baldhead False Buttonweed) is a species of shrub in the family Rubiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Distrito Federal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Bahia, Paraná, Caatinga, Piauí, ParaíBa, GoiáS, Cerrado, Amapá, Mato Grosso, RondôNia, Maranhao, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, AmazôNia, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo, Pará, Roraima, and Alagoas. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Flower Flies, Exoprosopa, Ceratalictus, and Augochloropsis. Individuals can grow to 0.24 m.
