A hogfish is a large wrasse, Lachnolaimus maximus, of the western Atlantic Ocean. Hogfish are plentiful in the Florida Keys, Bahamas, Carribean, and they have been as far north as North Carolina and Bermuda, and into the Gulf of Mexico
