Leaf-blades oval or obovate, 8-16 cm. long, rounded or obtuse at the apex, glabrous, at least at maturity, deep-green above, paler beneath, abruptly narrowed at the base, shortpetioled ; pedicels sparingly pubescent when young ; sepals oblong to ovate-oblong, about 3 mm. long, the glands fully one half the length of the sepal-body ; larger petals 5-5.5 mm. long, the blades suborbicular ; ovary and style glabrous or nearly so ; drupes mostly 2-3lobed, 11-13 mm. in diameter.
Type locality : Jamaica. Distribution : Jamaica.
