Phyciodes pallida is resident to central western North America (Scott 1986). Habitats are valleys. Host plants are herbaceous plants restricted to genus Cirscium (Compositae). Eggs are laid on the host plant in large clusters. There is one flight each year with the approximate flight time late May-June 30, late Apr.-June 15 further north (Scott 1986).
