It originates from Slovenia, but can now be found also in Austria, part of Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. Deutsch: Beschreibung: Die Kärntner Biene (Apis mellifera carnica, auch: Krainer Biene) ist eine natürlich entstandene Rasse der Westlichen Honigbiene (Apis mellifera).
